Subject: Re: Does WPCA's volume of work require employing 3 "WWMD inspectors"?

Mr. Anderson,

The answer to your first question is yes. We are still Inspecting septic system installations daily as we also work on bid preparation by gathering data and forwarding it to the appropriate agencies for their use to develop bid documents. As the WPCA successfully continues to move forward, the Cornfield Park Area is to start construction in the spring and the WPCA begins Phase 2 Areas with soil testing and data collection, the WPCA will be employing several more people with the proper qualifications to perform such work. To answer your question about CRAHD performing the work of the WPCA Inspectors, CRAHD has many other tasks that they perform. If you received the last edition of the Town of Old Saybrook Events Magazine, there is an explanation of services that they provide or you can go to their website for more information. The WPCA and CRAHD have also been working on the enforcement / compliance section of the Program which will be implemented in the near future. In conclusion, I hope that your new year is a good one and a prosperous one, too.
