Hon. Dannel P. Malloy, Governor
Office of the Governor
210 Capitol Av
Hartford CT 06106
Dear Governor Malloy:
Re DEEP Deputy Commissioner Michael Sullivan, fabricator.
Like Macky McCleary before him, Michael Sullivan, 07Jul15, finds good faith where none exists, in the Town of Old Saybrook's noncompliance with the DEEP's Consent Decree to clean up pollution.
Sullivan's willingess to turn a blind eye to the obvious is costing the State over $336000 in fines that could be collected immediately from the Town of Old Saybrook for its noncompliance, if only DEEP would enforce its own Consent Decree.
In this hour of straitened budget circumstances, it seems silly not to collect fines that are due the State; fines DEEP is not collecting solely to cover-up DEEP's continuing inaction.
DEEP is a kitten up a tree: there through its own action. Now, DEEP would rather remain up a tree than climb down, because climbing down would expose its own negligence.
Liars, and those in government who tolerate them inspire them, destroy the public's faith in government. Commissioner Klee and Deputy Commissioner Sullivan should be terminated.
Very truly yours,
Joel R. Anderson
